What counts as breaking the rule? Lying down for a nap, bending over for a long stretch (think gardening or yoga, not picking up your keys), face-down massages, rubbing or massaging the treated area, and snug headwear like tight hats or headbands. What’s perfectly fine: walking, errands, desk work, dinner out — your normal upright life. Most injectors also suggest holding off on hard exercise, facials, and saunas until the next day, which is really an extension of the same keep-it-settled logic.

After those first hours, you’re simply waiting on biology. Expect the first change in 3–5 days and the full effect by two weeks — which is when a careful injector likes to do a quick check and touch up anything uneven.
